Cyberbullying: Cyberbullying is bullying that takes place over digital devices like cell phones, computers, and tablets. Cyberbullying is the use of technology to harass, threaten, embarrass, or target another person. Online threats and mean, aggressive, or rude texts, tweets, posts, or messages all count. So does posting personal information, pictures, or videos designed to hurt or embarrass someone else.
The most common places where Cyberbullying occurs are;
- Email
- Instant messaging
- Texting
- Social Media (Facebook, Instagram, Snap chat and Twitter)
Given below are some
signs of cyberbullying;
· low self-esteem · A change in personality (anger, depression, crying, withdrawn)
· Spending a lot of time alone
· Finding Excuses to stay away from school or work including school refusal
· Excluded from social events.
· Losing weight or changing appearance to try and fit in.
· Reluctant to let parents or other family members anywhere near their mobiles, laptops, etc...

· Reinforce that no one deserves to be treated in this way and that they have done nothing wrong.
· Ensure that they know that there is help available on them.
· Encourage them to talk to a person whom they trust and feel safe.
· Give praise for being so brave and talking things through which will hopefully empower them to take responsibility and get help.
